BACKGROUND: The DDAC, "Der Deutsche Automobil-Club" (The German Automobile-Club), was instituted in September of 1933 by NSKK Korpsführer Adolf Hühnlein as an independent organization that was similar to the American Automobile Association. The club consisted of personnel who owned a car, and who were not members of the NSKK.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: A linen construction pennant, 37cm across with a 21cm tall hoist edge. Printed to both sides of its white field is a black eagle, with "D.D.A.C." to its breast, and a mobile swastika within a red circle in its talons. The eagle and swastika are surrounded by a dual oval, from whose cardinal points extend red printed bands with black edging immediately beyond them. Pennant is trimmed in leather and cover with celluloid. The celluloid is now cracking and falling apart with age. Pennant is secured to the metal triangular frame by three leather tabs. Two of the tabs are broken and one has been fixed by a small wire loop. Comes with its original nickel/silver plated vehicle fender pole.
