N030361 ‘DEUTSCHER PFADFINDERBUND’ BELT BUCKLE. (Koppelschloß)

BACKGROUND: The DPB (Deutscher Pfadfinderbund) was the first German Scouting association. This belt buckle was introduced in 1926 and pre-datied the Hitler Youth Buckle. It was worn until 1933.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: A 48mm x 63mm, two-piece, nickel/silver plated brass belt buckle. The buckle has to its obverse a ‘Fleur-de-lis’ with dual 5 pointed stars. The reverse of the buckle has a soldered buckle catch and steel prong bar complete with dual prongs. Unmarked.
