An olive drab, lightly padded, 3/4 length, canvas jacket. It has a six button French fly front closure, a pair of pocket flaps, but no breast pockets. A pair of darts extend vertically from the shoulder to the flap. There are a pair of button flap hip pockets. The button cuffs have outside sleeve slashes with internal wind flaps. The fully lined interior comes with a tunnel looped drawstring at waist line. The jacket has a chest measuring approximately 42". White label is to the interior of the left facing hip pocket that shows the size as "12R", as well as the manufacture name, designation and manufacture date (January 11, 1944). Attached is the M43 field jacket hood by a pair of buttons to the rear shoulder area. There is a pair of 2^nd Lieutenant rank bars to the shoulder straps, as well as a shoulder flash for the 3^rd Army to the left wearing sleeve.
