C077682 CANADIAN NO. 4 MK I SPIKE BAYONET AND SCABBARD.

This model bayonet was produced later 1941 to early 1942 by the Singer Manufacturing Co. in Scotland. This one piece, forced bayonet has a cruciform blade . The rolled, single piece constructed, tapered scabbard with ball tip and a circular frog lug near the throat. A small screw is to either side of the throat for adjustment. The entire bayonet measures approximately 25cm in length, with the scabbard measuring approximately 21cm. No visible markings. Spike has been oiled.  Of Note: Only 74,000 of this type were made. Canadian issue marking on the scabbard.
