BACKGROUND: The webbed pistol belt was originally introduced in 1912 (M1912). The belts where designed for durability and the easy attachment and where of various accouterments. The final version of the belt used during WW2 was introduced in 1936 (M1936).

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: An approximately 101cm long, khaki webbed canvas construction pistol belt. The belt contains 18 sets of triple blackened eyelets for the easy attachment of various field equipment with blackened "T" closure. It is stamped "R.M.CO 1942" to its outside.
