C052563 CANADIAN ISSUED HOUSE WIFE POUCH. The "House Wife" was the nickname give to the Canadian soldiers sewing kit. 36cm x 13.5cm khaki colored cloth bag with original tie strings. The interior is divided into three separate sections, as well is ink stamped "S.S. Holden Ltd. Ottawa Canada 1942.". The number "206142" is handwritten to the top section. There is some staining. The pouch is also "C" broad arrow marked. Nice example.
