C045081 CANADIAN WW2 TAM O'SHANTER WITH DICED BAND.

The Balmoral Bonnet, which is known as the Tam O'Shanter, originated in 1915, as a replacement for the Glengarry, to be worn by Scottish troops in combat. A dark blue wool bonnet comprised of a crown with a red coloured wool Touri (pom-pom) to its center and a diced band indicating a "Royal" regiment. Nicely maker marked to "Dorothea Hats Ltd" and dated for 1945. Size marked "M" (Medium).
