Vietnam War U.S. Army Special Forces Green Beret 5th Special Forces Group (SFG). A rare green beret made and worn by the 5th SFG of the U.S. Special Forces ("Green Berets") before the 5th SFG deployed to Vietnam. Dark green wool with early metal insignia. Roughly a size 52. Hard to find these early Special Forces berets because the number of men in the unit was still quite small at this time and most berets were transitioned to the post-1964 Vietnam flash. Rare.
