BACKGROUND: The airborne forces formation badge was made up of the figure of Bellerophon, a character from Greek mythology who was the first airborne soldier, seated on a winged Pegasus.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: A pair of canvas construction, 60mm square badge bearing a light blue image of Bellerophon on a red backing. The flashes have been removed from a uniform. Scarce.
