C033888 WWII U.S. ASIATIC PACIFIC CAMPAIGN MEDAL.

BACKGROUND: This medal was approved on November 24, 1942 by the War Secretary and awarded to personnel for service within the Asiatic-Pacific Theater between December 7, 1941 and March 2, 1946. It was awarded to those on permanent assignment or on temporary duty for 30 consecutive or 60 non-consecutive days.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: A die struck bronze medal measuring approximately 32mm in diameter that is suspended from a yellow, white, red and blue striped silk ribbon with the original swing hinge pin.
