C033694 CANADIAN P37 PATTERN WATER BOTTLE. 

An olive drab enameled metal canteen with an olive drab wool cover and khaki colored webbed canvas harness. The canteen still has its original stopper cork, with an aluminum plate and metal eyelet to its top, through which a cord is attached its other end attached to a small, brazed metal loop at the base of the neck. Its wool covering has seams along its bottom and back, and is roughly sewn into place along the top edge of the canteen. The canvas harness is comprised of an encircling horizontal strap near the top, to which is stitched to a continuous strap which extends along the bottom and up each side, terminating in brown painted metal adjusting buckles. Another strap is stitched to the front center of the horizontal strap, where a brass stud is positioned, and passes underneath and up the back, where it extends and ends with a brass snap closure. This latter part of the strap passes over one side of the top of the canteen, its snap then mating with the forward stud. There is a small moth hole to the wool at the top of the canteen, as well as some light tracking.
