C031668 U.S. M1936 PISTOL BELT.
BACKGROUND: The webbed pistol belt was originally introduced in 1912 (M1912). The belts where designed for durability and the easy attachment and where of various accouterments. The final version of the belt used during WW2 was introduced in 1936 (M1936).
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Approximately 40" (101cm) long, khaki webbed canvas construction. Belt contains 18 sets of triple blackened eyelets for the easy attachment of various field equipment with blackened "T" closure. It is stamped "U.S." to the outside, with another stamped marking to the underside, but unable to discern the information. The alloy metal ends show light wear as well as some of the eyelets.
