C029783 D-DAY "OMAHA BEACH" LANDING MAP & TIDAL CHART.

Map displays Omaha Beach in Normandy as is on the 12th of may 1944. It states "TOP SECRET - BIGOT". "Bigot" clearance, granted to a very select number of officers with direct knowledge of the plans for "D-Day". On the back there is a stamp of "Dutch Explosive Ordnance Disposal 1965". The Dutch marking where added after the war while doing mine clearance works. It's made of a heavy textured linen type paper. There is also a tidal chart included. The map s roughly 28cm x 20cm. Rare piece of D-Day history.
