C029467 U.S. ARMY SERVICE GASMASK WITH BAG. Rubber constructed mask. Tinted plastic eye lenses. Rubber hose which extends to the filter. Mask is complete with all its original straps and is size marked "US" and the size "U". It appears to be a M3 gas mask. It is marked with the manufacture name "Good Year." Mask is housed it original olive colored canvas bag. Bag is complete with all straps and is nicely marked "Army Service Mask and is also stamped with the Chemical Corps emblem. Two lift-the-dot fastener mates with a blackened brass stud to the front flap. Comes with an original metal tin of "ANTI-DIMMING" stick for the lenses. Excellent condition. Of Note: This type of gasmask and bag, was not preferred by the troops, who would rather use this sack as an extra personal carrier. They thought it to be to heavy.
