C028179 WWII CANADIAN "ROCKY MOUNTAIN RANGERS" CAP BADGE.

Raised in 1885 during the North West Rebellion, it was originally made up of ranchers and cowboys from Alberta. It is currently located in British Columbia with no official connection to the original Regiment from Alberta. The brass stamped badge depicts a central design of a ram that is encircled by "Royal Mountain Rangers" with a scroll to the bottom inscribed "Kloshe Nanitch" or "Look Out". The entire badge is surrounded by branches of maple leafs and is surmounted by a Kings Crown. Two lugs are present to the reverse which is a mirror image of the front.
