Rare 1930’s U.S. National Chicle Company "Sky Birds" collecting card for WWI aviation hero and flying ace Edie Rickenbacker. This is card number 20, produced in 1934 as part of a set of 132 cards of famous aviation pioneers by the National Chicle (chewing gum) Company, which it notes on each card was the "maker of quality chewing gum." Full colour art card in very good condition. These cards came out at the height of the Great Depression. Rickenbacker was the most successful U.S. pilot of WWI, with 26 aerial victories and a Medal of Honour recipient. The card measures approximately 6cm x 7.5cm with a diagonal crease to the card.
