C019681 U.S. 108TH INFANTRY DIVISION "PHANTOM" SHOULDER FLASH.
BACKGROUND:The 14th Army was a fictitious Army that was organized in order to trick the German high command into thinking the Invasion would come at Pas-de-Calais instead of Normandy. Command was under George S. Patton, Jr. Insignia was manufactured for two Army Corps and 19 "Phantom" Divisions. The patches are quite scarce as there where only 1,000 to 2,000 produced.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Machine embroidered yellow mace on a red background. Oval badge measures approximately 60mm x 70mm. Nice clean condition.
