C013580 WWII RCAF TWO TOURS OF DUTY OPERATIONS BADGE.

BACKGROUND: During WWII the RCAF had three main responsibilities: British Commonwealth Air Training Plan where Canada made a massive contribution to training Military aviators, Home War Establishment for coastal defense, shipping and air defense in Canada, and Overseas War Establishment.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Badge in the form of spread wings with a "O" at itís center. It measures approximately 4cm x 1cm with one hanging bar. The screw posts and caps are in tact. On the reverse is engraved "Birks and Sterling."
