C012895 WWII CANADIAN TAM O'SHANTER.

The Balmoral Bonnet, which is known as the Tam o'Shanter, originated in 1915, as a replacement for the Glengarry, to be worn by Scottish troops in combat. A khaki wool bonnet comprised of a crown with a tan coloured wool Touri (pom pom) to its center, a body with seams to each side and the rear, bow to the rear, as well as, two punched holes to the rear which hold metal grommets. The interior is lined with a double stitched diamond pattern to the center that has stamped to it "Buffalo Cap & Neckwear Ltd. Winnipeg, CAN. Size 6 7/8 1940" along with a “C” broad arrow .Pristine!!!! Unissued and unused.
