C012695 ORDER OF THE CROWN OF ITALY; GRAND OFFICER BADGE WITH CASE.

An 8.5cm x 8.5cm, eight pointed silver star with finials, bears a Cross Pattée made up of a white enameled cross with Gold knots in the quadrants in between the arms of the cross, the center of the cross, features a blue enameled field with a Lombardy crown with red, green and white enamel details, surrounded by a Gold ring. The reverse is plain with a raised barrel hinge, vertical pinback, and broad rightward opening catch. The reverse is manufactured marked for “R.S. Giovanni” which is also stamped to the inter silk lining of the case lid. The badge sits in a white velvet, form. The hinged case measures approximately 4cm x 11.5cm x 11.5cm. The lid does not mate properly to the bottom.
