BACKGROUND: Canadian individual equipment was copied directly from the British 1937-pattern web equipment with manufacture starting at the beginning of 1940 and mass distribution began in October of the same year. The Canadian equipment differed its British equivalent by its yellower coloring and the brown paint that was sometimes used to cover the metal parts. As far as optics go, Canadian soldiers used the identical examples as used by all commonwealth troops, either made in the UK, or here is Canada.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: 1937 pattern tan/khaki web covered binocular case that has reinforced stiffening to its front, sides, back, and the top of its fold-over flap with brass snap closure. Ltd.", "C-broad arrow" marked and is dated. Case is complete with its original shoulder strap.
