C010377 SPIGOT GRENADE DISCHARGER WITH RIFLE GRENADE. A British spigot grenade discharger that was used on the Number 4 Enfield rifle. It was introduced in 1945 but did not see service during the Second World War and was discontinued in 1947. This discharger has a different rifle attachment as it has a pair of thumb screw attachments that are similar to those used on a US Garande. The rifle grenade was based on the US M9A1 rifle grenade. The spigot measures approximately 28cm or 11" long, while the grenade measures approximately 28cm long.
