C009076 U.S. 9TH ARMY SHOULDER FLASH.

BACKGROUND: Originally known as the "Eighth Army", upon their arrival in Europe, caused confusion due to the famous British formation of the same name. The 9th Army was used during the campaign in Northwest Europe in 1944 and 1945.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: A machine embroidered, nine sided (nonagon) badge that features an "A" in white thread at center on a red background. The badge measures approximately 6cm x 6cm. The edges show slight wear, but overall in very nice condition.
