L016368 RED CROSS ARMBAND IDENTIFICATION CARD.
(Personalausweis)A white, linen card dated "11.3. 1944" that was used to identify that the person" is entitled to the Geneva's badge. (Stamped white armband with a red cross) to wear and is under the protection of articles 9, 12 and 13 of the Geneva Agreement of 27.7 1929". It was carried by a non-combatant of the 2nd Company Parachute Division 4 - Ambulance (Kompanie Fallschirm-Sanitäts-Abteilung 4, 26.7.1944) Parachute 23nd Medical Company (Fallschirm-Sanitäts-Kompanie 42). It is stamped with the appropriate signatures. To the reverse are various stamps. The card has been stored folded, which has caused a heavy fold line to the vertical center. Shows yellowing typical of wear, along with fold lines and creases.
