L016368 RED CROSS ARMBAND IDENTIFICATION CARD. (Personalausweis) 

A white, linen card dated "11.3. 1944" that was used to identify that the person" is entitled to the Geneva's badge. (Stamped white armband with a red cross) to wear and is under the protection of articles 9, 12 and 13 of the Geneva Agreement of 27.7 1929". It was carried by a non-combatant of the 2nd Company Parachute Division 4 - Ambulance (Kompanie Fallschirm-Sanitäts-Abteilung 4, 26.7.1944) Parachute 23nd Medical Company (Fallschirm-Sanitäts-Kompanie 42). It is stamped with the appropriate signatures. To the reverse are various stamps. The card has been stored folded, which has caused a heavy fold line to the vertical center. Shows yellowing typical of wear, along with fold lines and creases.
