Set included overseas cap, tunic and tropical trousers.

TROPICAL OVERSEAS CAP. Light weight, ribbed, tan cotton twill construction cap features fold down side and back panels with gently sloping, downward scallops to the front and forward sides. The front center of the cap has a machine embroidered, second pattern, tropical Luftwaffe eagle in pale silvery/grey threads on a ribbed, tan cotton twill base. The cotton twill base has been folded into an inverted triangle and is hand stitched in place. The front center of the cap has a machine embroidered, second pattern Luftwaffe eagle in silvery/grey threads on a cut out blue/grey wool base and the front center of the fold down panels has a machine embroidered, padded, national tri color cockade on a cut out tan rayon base. Both the eagle and the cockade are neatly handstitched to the cap. The interior of the cap is fully lined in light weight tan cotton. Size marked 59.

TROPICAL TUNIC. Light weight, tan cotton construction tropical field blouse features a vertical, six button front closure with small, fold back lapels, a lay down collar and a single metal hook and eye positioned at the forward neckline. The field blouse has two, pleated, patch, breast pockets and two, non pleated, saddlebag, hip pockets with expanding side panels, all with straight edged, button down flaps. The right breast has a machine embroidered, second pattern, (Circa 1936/37 1945), Luftwaffe eagle clutching a canted swastika in one talon, in silvery/white rayon threads mounted cut out, light tan cotton base. The eagle is machine stitched to the field blouse. The straight cut sleeves have dual ply, simulated, French cuffs and a small, vertical, slash to the outside seams with dual fit adjustment buttons to each. The field blouse has a set of three, vertically aligned, stitched eyelets positioned at each side seam at the waistline, which were designed for the belt support hooks and both belt support hooks are included. The field blouse has slip on tropical shoulder straps (tropical shirt type). The shoulder strap’s fabric retaining loops and pebbled, alloy buttons are intact. The lay down collar has the typical zig zag reinforcement stitching to the reverse. Buttons are all the “S-Ring” removable type. The lower, right, front, tail skirt has a tan, linen field dressing pocket with a single button closure. The interior left breast is well marked with black, size inkstamps and faint manufacturer’s name and location. Roughly a size 34" chest. Tunic has somestains, small holes and some sewing repairs.

TROPICAL BLOUSED PANTS. Luftwaffe tropical Überfallhose made of Luftwaffe colored tan,ribed, cotton material, pleated front, lined at the waist in white cotton and with pocket bags of the same material, having the Luftwaffe style integral belt and aluminum sliding buckle arrangement at the waist, with one large flapped pocket on the left upper thigh, plus two rear flapped pockets and two front slash pockets, each flapped pocket has the white cotton facing material, with tightening straps and buckles, also aluminum, at the ankles. Nice size markings. All original buttons and stitching. Roughly a size 32 waist. Some stains to the lower leg area.
