L004195 1942 AIRCRAFT IDENTIFICATION HAND BOOK. (Kriegsflugzeuge Handbuch) 

BACKGROUND: Accurate visual aircraft identification was a basic skill required by all Luftwaffe personnel as well as personnel serving in the assorted civilian air-raid protection services. In order to assist personnel in visual aircraft identification the RLM, Reichsluftfahrtministerium, (Reich Ministry of Aviation), produced specific aircraft identification booklets on an annual basis from 1940 until 1944. Each year the booklets would be updated as new aircraft were introduced by the assorted nations involved in the conflict. 

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:, 10cm x 14.5cm booklet titled “Deutsche, Italienische, Britisch amerikanische Und Sowjetische Kriegsflugzeuge or "German, Italian, British American and Soviet Warplanes.” The booklet consists of 160 pages of black and white images with accompanying text. Dated for 1942.
