A soft body hand constructed pilot doll measuring approximately 18cm tall dressed with a helmet, goggles with a small sewn "bag" for a parachute that is not present. Strings are still attached to the shoulder area for the parachute that would fold unto the attached pouch. The body (which represents the jump suit) is a khaki green in color with the white painted straps of a harness for a parachute. The face has hand painted eyes and mouth. The doll shows age and usage typical for its age, but is still a nice worn and used example. Sold to Children in 1944/45 as a Victory toy. (Dave, thank you for the additional information)
