The standard aluminum construction, kidney-shaped mess kit. The kit retains about 98% of its original olive drab paint to the body and cover. Separate interior lid is complete. Its thick wire handle is attached to riveted studs on either of the body immediately below the cover. A riveted metal slot is to the front of the body for the retaining strap.
