J001573 (IJA) EM/NCO'S BELT & BELT BUCKLE.
The standard, Type 30 (1897), uniform equipment belt in use by Japanese forces until the end of the war, upon which would have been slung the two forward and one reverse ammunition pouches and the bayonet frog. The 84cm long leather belt has one end folded and sewn around a single claw metal buckle, and the other end has 9 corresponding buckling holes (there is a tear near one of the holes) to it. Worn and used.
