A 3 1/2" x 5 1/2", printed postcard with a colorized and re-touched photograph to its obverse of a Pickelhaube and greatcoat-wearing sentry before his striped box, with, to the upper left, a crying woman in the background sky. A brief poem entitled "Steh ich in finst’rer Mitternacht" is to the lower left. To the reverse is a circular inkstamp reading "Namur (Belgien)" with a February 1915 date. Behind this first inkstamp is a second which appears to read "5.Kompanie Landsturm Inf. Batt. Wiesbaden." An address and note, in pencil and in Sütterlin script, may also be seen. Typical light age yellowing and soiling is evident. Of Note: This is obviously a companion to G04150 as it depicts the same sentry, background, and woman but whose poem, with the same title, is different.
