(Kolonial-Denkmünze)BACKGROUND: The Colonial Medal was established on June 13th, 1912 by Kaiser Wilhelm II. The medal and clasps were awarded for participation in military operations in the German colonies.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: An approximately 32mm x 7mm, gold-plated brass medal clasp. The clasp has the embossed text, "Deutsch-Ostafrika 1901" and two attachment prongs intact.
