BACKGROUND:
As with most automatic weapons both the MG34 and MG42 selective fire, general purpose machine guns were equipped with a muzzle flash hider to conceal the flash that discharged from the muzzle when the weapon was fired. The muzzle flash hider came with a protective container and was a component of the Universalkasten 42, (Universal Case 42), kit.PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Tooled steel construction MG42 flash suppressor. Roughly 10cm in height with a 50mm base diameter. Comes with original metal storage containor. Nice untouched condition.
