H024695 CASED 4 X 10 POWER ARTILLERY SPOTTING OPTICS. (Rundblickfernrohr)

Tooled steel, four power panoramic artillery sight, with aluminum adjustment dials. Roughly 9 3/4" tall, vertical cylindrical sight has an extended horizontal lower arm housing the ocular lense. Sight has a central extended circular ring for field of vision dial. Top has a head piece for objective lense and elevation dial. Top head well marked with impressed script that includes, "Gesichtsfeld 10", indicating sight has a 10 degree field of vision and, "Vergr. 4x", indicating, Vergrösserung, (4x magnification). Head also has impressed manufacturers name, "C.P. Goerz Berlin", designation, "Rundblick fernrohr", (Panoramic Sight), serial number, "Nr.116030", and "D.R.P." indicating, Deutsche Reichs Patent (German National Patent). Left and right adjustment dials also have impressed markings, "Mehr" (more), and "Weniger" (less). Elevation dial marked "Hoher" (higher) and "Tiefer" (lower). Dials all have locking clips which still function. Nice clear optics, with inverted "V" and vertical central bar reticle. Comes with original metal case. Case has a coat of black hand applied over paint.
