(Schenkungabzeichen) A 1 3/8" diameter, stamped alloy badge to whose obverse is the N.S.-Hago emblem of an upright hammer, with a static swastika to it, and wings extending to either side of its shaft. Crossed hammers are to the base of the image, and "Handwerk u. Handel Immerdar" (Handicrafts and Trade Forever) is embossed across it. Scrolled beneath the image is "Treu Verbunden Mit Der Saar" (Loyal[ly] United With The Saar). A horizontal pin-back device is soldered to its unmarked reverse. Approximately half of the original gilt wash to its obverse has been retained, with wear to the highlights and darkening to the recesses.
