N21954 "REICHSPOST" SLEEVE EAGLE. (Armspiegel) A 3 1/2" x 3 7/8", dark blue wool oval, against which is a machine woven, golden-yellow eagle, whose spread wings have a span of 2 1/2", clutching a wreathed, mobile swastika in its talons, with, in Gothic script, "Reichspost" arching underneath it. The reverse is featureless. Although all of the golden-yellow threads are still bright and relatively unsoiled, its blue wool base has very noticeable nap wear and moth nips throughout, particularly along its edges.
