N10552 HEINKEL FACTORY CIVILIAN WORKER'S IDENTIFICATION CARD. (Ausweis) A 3 7/8" x 3 1/16", moderately surface spotted, blackened metal frame for an "Ausweis des Flugzeugwerks M..." (Identity-card of-the Aircraft-factory M...), as is barely noticeable under the top edge of the reverse. The frame to the obverse is divided into two sections, one of which has a black and white photograph of the bearer to it, the other section having his signature and five stamps to it. "Der Ausweis ist nur gültig, wenn die Jahresmarke geklebt ist" (This Identity-card is only valid, when the Yearly-stamp glued is) is printed to the base of the second section, and a "1942" stamp with "FWM" to it, and "943," "1943" and "1944" stamps with "Heinkel" to them, are visible above. "FWM 03 832," followed by an asterisk, is stamped to the edge of the frame. To the reverse is typed the bearer’s name, birth date and place, an August, 1941 date, and a four-digit serial number, followed by condition for using this identity card and an ink stamped, facsimile signature. The cards are covered in celluloid to both sides, which has yellowed with age and exhibits light soiling and surface scratches.
