BACKGROUND: The NSKOV, "National Sozialistische Kriegsopferversorung" (National Socialist War-disabled-support [Organization]), was formed in 1930 and institutionalized in 1933, as an associated society assisting NSDAP party members who had become disabled as a result of war injuries.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Die-struck, 41mm x 42mm, alloy badge with silver wash. Helmeted bust form with the inscription "1 KRIEGSOPFER U SOLDATENTAG FRANKFURT A.M. 17. U. 18. NOV 1934". NSKOV logo to lower right hand side. Complete with original pin-back device. Attractive badge.
