BACKGROUND: The NSKOV, "National Sozialistische Kriegsopferversorung" (National Socialist War-disabled-support [Organization]), was formed in 1930 and institutionalized in 1933, as an associated society assisting NSDAP party members who had become disabled as a result of war injuries. 

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Badge is 30mm x 15mm die-struck tombac construction. The emblem is comprised of a mobile swastika within a circle, the circle set against an Iron Cross, and the Iron Cross set against a vertical sword, which has an oval oak leaf wreath surrounding it. Complete with pinback device. Solder is quite heavy (partially obscuring makers mark), looks to be period repaired. Don’t see these very often. Decent example, nice clean strike.
