N039058 NSDAP POLITICAL SERVICE BREECHES. (Stiefelhose) A pair of tan/brown colored wool breeches, which flare out at the thighs and then taper towards the ankles. They feature a four button French fly, with two slightly larger buttons and buttonholes at the waist, diagonal slash hip pockets with scalloped, button-down flaps, and a right rear horizontal slash pocket, also with a scalloped, button-down flap. The dish buttons to the fly, as well as the larger one to the waist, and the eight identical to that which are sewn along the exterior waistband for suspenders, are of dark brown-colored bakelite. Short, horizontal straps with nickel-silver plated metal gripper buckles are to each hip. The outside seams of each cuff have 11 1/2" openings, with three buttonholes and corresponding buttons to their bases, above which are seven pairs of tan-colored metal grommets, with tan-colored laces fed between them. The right cuff is missing its lowermost button. The base of each cuff has tan-colored cotton/rayon reinforcing material sewn to it, which extends from the lining to either interior side of its opened seam. The pocket bags are of brownish/tan rayon. A rayon vertical loop, with a nickel-silver plated metal snap button, is sewn to the interior waistband to either side of the fly. A longer but thinner loop, made from the same material as the waistband lining, is sewn beneath the "V" slash. Original RZM tag looks to be present, but is now hard to read. Very light age soiling is evident throughout, but there otherwise appears to be no significant wear. Approximately a 34" waist. Nice pair.
