N035257 NSFK EM/NCO'S BELT & BELT BUCKLE. (Koppel und Koppelschloß)

BACKGROUND: From its inception NSFK EM/NCO personnel wore the SA style box belt buckle, but in silver with a pebbled field base. This pattern buckle was discontinued in 1934 and replaced with the open claw style buckle.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: One piece, stamped nickel/silver buckle features an embossed early stylized national eagle and 45 degree angle rotated swastika encompassed by a circular field with ribbed lines, oak-leave cluster and both inner and outer twisted rope like borders. Balance of buckle has a pebbled finish. Reverse of buckle is a mirror image of obverse and is still quite bright. Brazed on brass catch, prong bar and prongs all intact. Unmarked example. Come with a nice original period belt in black leather. Belt measures approximately 42mm x 98cm. Original catch and buckle adjustment tab are complete. Leather is still in good condition. Scarce buckle.
