N030659 MUNICH NSDAP FUNERAL SASH. (Begräbnis Schärpe) Approximately 400cm x 25, red rayon sash, each of whose ends are fringed. Near one of these ends is sewn 13cm diameter, white rayon disk, within which is printed a black mobile swastika. Printed in silver ink to the other end is the coat of arms for Munich with a large Party eagle overtop. The same end bears the inscription "München Hauptstadt Der Bewegung" which translates into "Munich Capital of the Movement". (referring to the founding of the NSDAP). The silver ink is moderately worn and you can its been out side for long period of time as the color has somewhat faded. Sash has been cut in two, almost exactly in half. Quite scarce.. Very interesting example, can’t imagine too many of these surviving.
