N026258 DRKB/NS-RKB SONG BOOK.
BACKGROUND:
The DRKB, (Kyffhäuserbund), was the National Association of Veteran’s, formed during WWI, and based on the DKB formed in the 1870's, in 1938 the NSDAP formed the NS-RKB by amalgamating a number of earlier veterans organizations, including the DRKB.PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: A 5 1/2" x 3 11/16", mid-weight, light brown cardstock covered, 32 page, song book, to whose cover is printed "Singen" (Sing) with a DRKB shield, which consists of a black silhouette of the Kyffhäuserbund monument, above a black swastika on a white circular field on a vertically striped base, to the upper left corner. To the interior cover is a Veteran group’s stamp. The first 30 pages of the book consist of song lyrics with the first song being "Deutschland=Lied" (Germany Song). Pages 31 and 32 consist of "Inhaltsverzeichnis" (Table of Contents) and lists the songs in alphabetical order with the page numbers beside them. To the bottom of page 32 is the publisher name, address and trade mark while to the back cover is printed an advertisement. The book is in excellent condition with the only detractor being a tiny nick to the edge of the rear cover.
