N021858 YOUTH HOSTEL MEMBER'S IDENTIFICATION CARD. A half-fold, tan cardboard "Mitgliedskarte" (Member Card) card which measures 4 1/8" x 2 7/8". The front features the heading "Reichsverband f.Deutsche Jugendherbergen" (National Association of German Youth Hostels0, a tan "MK, DJH 1940" paper stamp and handwritten personal information concerning the bearer with a couple of ink-stamps. The second page features the signature of the bearer and a paragraph of text instead of a photograph. The third page outlines the rights entitled to the bearer of the card with a "Reichsverb f.Deutsche Jugendherbergen" ink-stamp. The back cover has a grid with 39 spaces to it, with the first five having been stamped. The card is in very good condition with only some minor age soiling and slight wear to the fold.
