N010657 WERKSCHUTZ VISOR CAP EAGLE. (Schirmmützen Adler) A die-struck zinc eagle, whose outstretched wings have a span of 2 3/8", and which clutches an angled shield in its talons. To the shield is a recessed, black painted, mobile swastika. The angled shield and swastika motif was used as part of the insignia worn by "Werkschutz" (Factory Protection Service). To its reverse is soldered a horizontal alloy bar with prongs to either end. Light age soiling is evident throughout.
