BACKGROUND: The "National Sozialistische Kriegsopferversorgung e. V." (National Socialist War-disabled-support ["eingetragener Verein"] registered Organization) was formed in 1930 and institutionalized in 1933, as an associated society assisting N.S.D.A.P. party members who had become disabled as a result of war injuries.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: The 5 7/8" x 4 1/8" booklet is comprised of two pieces of orange card stock, folded and stapled to create eight pages. The cover or first page has the N.S.K.O.V. logo and title to its top, followed by the bearer’s membership number, his personal information, and official, facsimile signatures to the bottom. To the second page are two grids of twelve squares, each with a month of the year to them, the topmost having twelve-.90 Reichsmark stamps occupying the squares with the year 1943 to the top. The grid to the bottom of the page is filled with similar stamps from 1934. The third page has the top half filled with stamps from 1945 with the rest of the donation squares in the book empty. The sixth page is entitled "Nur durch die Reichsdienststelle auszufüllen" (Only through the National-administrative-department to-be-filled) and has three repeated sections beneath it, all blank. The seventh page again has two twelve month grids to it, but is also left blank. To the eighth page, or back cover, has the heading "Zur Beachtung" (Please Notice) with note on the proper usage of the card. Minor age and usage soiling is evident to the booklet’s front cover, and back cover with some slight rounding to the corners but it is otherwise in good condition.
