U00250 UNION KEPI/CAP INSIGNIA. A hollow-backed, stamped brass, U.S. regulation letter "K," 1" tall and 1 1/8" wide at its base, with a wire mounting loop soldered to its reverse. It has worn and age-darkened but retains perhaps 30% of its original gilt finish. It is otherwise fully intact.
