R000156 "COLLECTING THE EDGED WEAPONS OF THE THIRD REICH, VOLUME V" REFERENCE BOOK.  A 7 1/4" x 10 1/4", hardcover, 344 page book lavishly illustrated with black and white photographs, line drawings, and twelve color plates. Within its nine chapters is "An Extensive Examination of All Models and Variations of the SS Dagger," edged weapons of Diplomats, Government Officials and Waterways Protection Police, how to photograph, maintain and repair edged weapons, "The Rare and Unusual Blades of the Reich," and "Identification of Edged Weapon Knots." Glossaries of "Foreign Language Nomenclature" and "Documentation Procedures" are to the end of the book. Complete with its original color dust jacket, which has several tears along its upper edge, and glue remnants from a sticker to its cover. The pages are complete and unmarred, but for a noticeable stain to page 96. By LTC (Ret.) Thomas M. Johnson, this first edition having been published privately by the author in 1985.
