Q000259 EAST GERMAN "MDI" CAMOUFLAGE COMBAT PANTS.
BACKGROUND:
The MDI, "Ministerium Des Innern" - Ministry of the Interior, were special troops formed for direct orders of the Minister of the Interior against enemies inside the country. NVA troops had to fight an enemy outside the country.PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Cotton duct construction pants and the machine printed, splotch pattern camouflage to the exterior. The camouflage pattern is predominately brown with two shades of green. The pants feature a vertical, four button French fly. The pants have two, slightly diagonally angled, slash, front pockets with pockets and double button closures. The exterior waistband has three built in D-ring supports. Each leg has a large built in pocket with flap. Leg ends still have their original tie strings. The pants are in overall very good condition with minimal age toning and a few small picks and pulls. The pants are roughly size 32" waist.
