Q000158 WEST GERMAN NAVY OFFICER'S OVERSEAS CAP. (Bordmütze) A nice quality, deep, navy blue, wool construction overseas cap which features fold down side and back panels with gently sloping, downward scallops to the front and forward sides. The top edge of the fold down panels are trimmed in interwoven, bright gilt wire piping. The front center of the cap has a hand embroidered national tri-color cockade. The interior of the cap is fully lined in grey rayon and has stitched to one side a manufacturers label under a clear plastic shield. The label has what appears to be "Jeküros" within a diamond above the text "Kleiderkasse für die Bundeswehr KKBn Koblenz" with a piece of paper inserted below from the side with the size "58" and a handwritten name "Stein". The interior of the cap also has a full, narrow, olive-drab leather sweatband. The sweatband is still quite pliable with no cracking. The cap is in overall very good condition with only minor nap wear and the red color almost gone from the cockade.
