C25755 ITALIAN PACKAGED IODINE.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: A cardboard box, about 3 3/16" tall by 15/16" square, completely covered in burgundy paper except for the very bottom. There is a split about half way down the box where the top would slide off the bottom. The split is sealed on one side with a round sticker, stamped in blue ink, with the text "I.C.F.M, 1935, IV" inside a double line circle. The other 3 sides are sealed with a pink label about 1 3/8" high that wraps around the box. Stamped across the top of the label in black ink is the text "Istituto Chimico Farmaceutico Militare. Firenze", which translates to (Chemical Pharmaceutical Institute of Military, Florence). Also on the label are "Jodio" (Iodine), a skull with cross bones with the warning below "Veleno" (Venom) and instructions for use in Italian. The box is in excellent condition and still sealed shut with some minor scuffing to the paper covering. The fact that it as never been opened makes this a great addition to any military medical collection.
